TERMS AND CONDITIONS

A legal disclaimer

Last updated: 30 June 2026

Welcome to the Dr Water Loo website. These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of www.drwaterloo.co.za (the “Website”), including any enquiries, applications or requests submitted through it.

By using this Website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please stop using the Website.

  1. About Dr Water Loo

Dr Water Loo provides an organic biological sanitation treatment intended for use in pit latrines, long-drop toilets and septic tanks. The product is designed to support the treatment of untreated human waste, reduce unpleasant odours and flies, assist the natural breakdown process and help manage sludge build-up while communities await permanent sanitation infrastructure.

Dr Water Loo is a sanitation-support product. It is not a substitute for proper toilets, sewerage systems, professional waste-removal services, public-health measures or permanent sanitation infrastructure.

  1. Website information

We aim to keep the information on this Website accurate and current. However, the content is provided for general information only and may be changed, corrected or updated without notice.

Information on the Website does not constitute medical, environmental, engineering, procurement or other professional advice. Project outcomes can vary according to the sanitation system, site conditions, waste volume, number of users, application method, maintenance and other factors outside our control.

  1. Product use and safety

Dr Water Loo products must be stored, handled and used only in accordance with the instructions supplied with the product and any guidance provided by us or an authorised distributor.

You are responsible for:

  • reading and following all product instructions;

  • using the correct quantity and application method;

  • keeping the product safely stored and out of reach of children;

  • complying with applicable health, safety and environmental requirements; and

  • obtaining professional advice where a sanitation system is damaged, overflowing, unsafe or requires specialist attention.

Do not use the product for a purpose for which it was not supplied. Product use does not remove the need for routine inspection, responsible sanitation management or compliance with municipal and environmental requirements.

  1. Enquiries, partnerships and applications

The Website allows governments, municipalities, non-governmental organisations, funders, resellers, wholesalers, manufacturers and other interested parties to contact us.

Submitting an enquiry or application does not create a partnership, agency, licence, distributorship, sponsorship, supply agreement or other binding commercial relationship. Any such relationship will arise only when the relevant parties sign a separate written agreement.

We may accept or decline an enquiry, application or proposed project at our discretion, subject to applicable law.

  1. Quotations, orders and payment

Unless otherwise stated in a signed written agreement:

  • quotations are valid only for the period stated on the quotation;

  • prices, availability, delivery dates and lead times may change before an order is accepted;

  • an order becomes binding only after we confirm it in writing;

  • payment must be made according to the invoice or agreed payment terms; and

  • delivery dates are estimates and may be affected by manufacturing, transport, customs, supply-chain or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

The specific terms contained in an accepted quotation, invoice, purchase order or signed agreement will take precedence if they conflict with this section.
